Welcome! Looking for a therapist is an intimidating endeavor, so give yourself some props for making it here!
I am a therapist who works with individuals and couples dealing with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, cPTSD, grief and loss, and family conflict. I specialize in assisting adults through transition, trauma, and crises of faith and spirituality. I seek to provide a safe space for those who have experienced wounding by the church and other religious organizations, and love working with emerging adults in particular. I am an intersectional feminist and my goal is to help people from all walks of life understand the impact systems of oppression have on their individual and relational health.
I believe that all people are capable of healing and wholeness. I believe that every story deserves a witness, and that by bringing my authentic presence as a therapist, as you bring your openness to change, we can enter into a therapeutic relationship.
I utilize a systemic and bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach in therapy. This simply means we will be integrating the many parts of who you are into therapy. We will also explore how your significant relationships and your larger social systems (family, neighborhood, school, work, church, etc.) influence your sense of wholeness and impact your ability to achieve the growth you desire.
In regards to style and modalities, I utilize narrative therapy, parts work, feminist therapy, EMDR, and a variety of other styles into my work. I am trained in EMDR and I also have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
My hope in therapy is to empower you to feel that you are capable of change and to walk beside you through this journey so that you may live a richer, more integrated life.
